The Delaware Network for Excellence in Autism (DNEA) is comprised of the Center for Disabilities Studies (CDS) at the University of Delaware and Autism Delaware.
These organizations work together to educate, support, and inform professionals and those directly impacted by autism spectrum disorder (ASD) on issues impacting the autism community.
The Center for Disabilities Studies (CDS) at the University of Delaware, is one of 67 University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities, and works to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities and their families through education, advocacy, service and research. CDS offers numerous initiatives and programs supporting the disability community, many of them with a focus on autism. CDS is the administrative home of the DNEA, supports the coordination of the ICA and is the primary organization responsible for providing training and technical assistance to professionals on ASD and related issues.
Autism Delaware is Delaware’s primary nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with autism and their families. Autism Delaware offers creative and innovative services, resources and support to individuals and families, while using evidence-based methods to become a model for others. Autism Delaware offers a number of services including family support, advocacy and support in employment, and social and recreational opportunities . Autism Delaware, as an ICA member, provides family supports and parent education programs.
