October 11, 2019 – October 12, 2019Join local and national presenters alongside parents and school professionals of children who are Deaf-Blind, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Blind and Visually Impaired, or who have Autism Spectrum Disorder. The conference is structured in breakout sessions with experienced presenters in a variety of content areas to give the participants the knowledge and skills needed to support a student or child in the areas of behavior, communication, vision, assistive technology as well as other topics.

Classroom Management Classroom Management

October 15, 2019This training is designed to assist educators in understanding needs of students with autism and will provide the basics on designing a classroom environment with predictable routines and schedules. Educators will learn about establishing expectations as well as preventative strategies for challenging classroom behaviors.
Target Audience: School-based professionals

Learners will understand the steps in implementing these practices and the effects it has for students with ASD. Training will include didactic sessions, interactive activities, and case studies. This training will be geared toward people working in the school setting.
Registration will begin at 8:30am, with the training starting promptly at 9:00am. Participants will be given a 1 hour lunch break. Lunch will not be provided. Participants will be issued certificates of attendance upon completion of the training.
